Introduction

ASI Financial Services (Pty) Ltd and its subsidiaries including the ASI Connect subsidiaries (collectively referred to as “ASI GROUP”, “we”, “us” or “our”) are committed to safeguarding the privacy, confidentiality, and security of your personal information. Meaning of “Processing” and “Personal Information”

To assist in understanding this statement, the following definitions from POPIA apply:

Purpose for Processing Personal Information

  • Fulfil contractual obligations and deliver products and services to you;
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations under legislation such as FICA, FAIS, NCA, and the Companies Act;
  • Prevent fraud, money laundering and other criminal activities;
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records;
  • Communicate with you regarding your products, services, updates or changes in terms;
  • Conduct marketing and promotional activities (subject to your preferences);
  • Share information with service providers or financial services representatives for the administration of your policies;

Retention in Terms of Applicable Laws

  • Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA);
  • Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS);
  • National Credit Act (NCA);
  • Consumer Protection Act (CPA).
